Tell us where you've been, where you're going, and how we can help you get there!
The Tidewater Council High Adventure Committee (HAC) is working to better understand the high adventure activities taking place throughout our council and how we can better support troops, crews, and their leaders.
Whether your unit has years of high adventure experience or is just beginning to explore the possibilities, we want to hear from you!
Through this short questionnaire, we're looking to learn about your unit's past adventures, upcoming trips, future interests, and any challenges you may face when planning high adventure activities.
Your responses will help the High Adventure Committee:
Connect Units: Bring together troops and crews with similar interests, experiences, or upcoming adventures.
Improve Training and Resources: Identify where additional guidance, workshops, or experienced mentors could help unit leaders.
Support Adventure Planning: Help units explore destinations, activities, and opportunities they might not have considered.
Coordinate Council Opportunities: Better understand interest in council contingents to national high adventure bases, regional expeditions, and other group adventures.
Share Experiences: Highlight successful unit adventures and encourage others through the council's Electronic Knapsack (EK) and other communications.
Plan for the Future: Use feedback to guide the committee's training calendar, activities, and priorities for the coming years.
Our goal isn't to take over your unit's adventures. It's to help make more adventures possible.
By understanding what units are already doing and what they hope to accomplish, the committee can better connect Scouts and leaders with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities available throughout our council.
You don't need to have an upcoming trip planned or extensive high adventure experience to participate. In fact, hearing from units that are interested but unsure where to begin is just as valuable.
Take a few minutes to tell us about your unit. Your feedback will help shape the future of high adventure in Tidewater Council!
